3. How did you get started?
I guess you could say that I married into the business.
4. What would you do if you didn’t have your company?
The obvious answer for me would be that I would never be in a situation where I didn’t work. But to answer the question, I would love to consult but not just for the money. The real reward would be to help someone achieve success in their chosen field. Success is not always defined by money and most of the best rules of business can be applied no matter what the product is.
5. What advice would you give others starting a business?
Study your competition! Learn from their Success or failure. You can probably learn a great deal more from their failures than from their successes.
Be innovative. Don’t do the same old thing and expect the outcome to be instant success. The same old thing is not wrong, but it is usually not the path to “”Dominate Success””. Be different. Don’t be afraid to try something new, but always remember, these words of wisdom “”Don’t bet the Farm”” and “”Don’t put all your eggs in one basket”” Have an “”Exit”” strategy if your plan doesn’t work. Don’t underestimate your competition! Expect them to react to your entrance into their domain. Try to anticipate their reaction and be prepared to deal with it. Never, never, never, bad mouth your competitors in an attempt to gain favor or the advantage even if they are doing it to you don’t be like them. There are better ways. Sometimes you can “”Understate to Dominate””
I could go on and on but I had only a few characters left to make my point!
6. What do you attribute to your success?
In my case, certainly not money. I would have to say that success to me has a very different meaning. The vast majority of successful Men and Women would tell you that the only real measure of success is “”MONEY”” as in, “Show me the Money!”
I realize “”MONEY”” is one of the most visible elements of a Successful Business, but in my opinion it is not the only measure of success. Success is better explained by the people who work in the business and understand that they are a reflection of what it took to make the business truly successful.
I know these things may seem trivial, but I remember when I was treated like that and I did not like it one bit. I lost all respect for my employer. So, Success to me is not so much about having “”MONEY””,as it is about waking up one morning to finally realize, “”Wow, all the debts are repaid and I don’t owe anyone any money.
That is true “”SUCCESS”””
7. Tell us something that no one else knows about you.
I have made some mistakes in my life!!!
8. Anything else you care to share?
Yes, I find your company to be persistent in your attempt to stay in touch with your clients and potential clients. You don’t send daily reminders or send a constant stream of meaningless garbage. I think that is outstanding. If I ever have a need for Web programming, I would certainly look to your company for such a project.
9. How can people contact you if they need your services?
We were looking for locations in Washington, Illinois before the tornado hit and we got sidetracked. We have now found a location and We are finalizing the move. Because of a new invention we are working on to install glass properly every time, we are considering a name change. The new invention is a piece of equipment to install auto glass, something that has never been achieved before. We are considering a name change also from Midwest Mobile Glass To ZGLASS and we will be locating in Washington, Illinois by January 1, 2014. During the interim we can be contacted at 309-745-3398.
